Luminary Hotel & Co. is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Morrissey as its new Director of Engineering. In this pivotal role, Morrissey will oversee operations and maintenance at Luminary Hotel & Co., ensuring all facilities meet the highest standards of excellence and safety. Morrissey will also ensure compliance with all Fire Department requirements and maintain up-to-date certifications from all relevant federal, state, and local governing agencies.
orrissey brings more than 15 years of experience in the HVAC field to Luminary Hotel & Co. After obtaining his Florida Contractor's license in 2013, Morrissey excelled in his career, culminating in his role as Chief Engineer at JW Marriott Marco Island. There, he managed a team of 40 engineers, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of the hotel's complex systems. In 2023, Morrissey's exceptional leadership and innovative approach were recognized by Marriott Regional Leadership, leading to his selection for Marriott's prestigious Advanced Engineering Program. This program focused on sustainability initiatives, aligning perfectly with Morrissey's commitment to a greener future and further enhancing his expertise in sustainable practices.
Originally from Indiana, Morrissey developed a love for Southwest Florida during annual family vacations, ultimately making it his permanent home in 2001. He now resides in the area with his wife, Nicole, and their three sons. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Morrissey enjoys exploring new destinations with his family, supporting his son's varsity athletic pursuits at Oasis High School, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
