‌The St. Regis Abu Dhabi has announced Evelyn Nguyen Van Schwarcz as its new director of groups & events. With over 11 years of experience in hotel and events operations, Nguyen Van Schwarcz is adept at business development, corporate engagement, and event management.

Her career includes a successful tenure as the head of sales - groups & events at Zaya Nurai Island, where she significantly increased the annual revenue by an average of 37 percent, showcasing her ability to drive growth and enhance profitability. Before joining the team of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi she was head of event sales & marketing at Pixoul Gaming & Adrenark Adventure.

‌In previous roles, Nguyen Van Schwarcz was instrumental in both the active and passive acquisition of new clients. She expertly managed all event communications from site visits, to set up and execution, and maintained long-term relationships with clients and third parties. Her notable achievements include closing corporate event deals with prestigious clients such as Mercedes-Benz, White & Case, Make Up for Ever, Boston Consulting, and Johnson & Johnson. Additionally, she excelled in managing teams, aligning internal revenue expectations, conducting monthly forecasting, yielding group business, and budgeting.

‌Nguyen Van Schwarcz's academic credentials are notable, including a marketing certification from the City University of Seattle, a bachelor of science in business administration degree from the City University of Seattle, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Fluent in English, Slovak, and Hungarian, her multilingual skills have further enhanced her ability to communicate effectively in diverse and multicultural environments.

As the director of groups & events at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Nguyen Van Schwarcz will oversee all aspects of group and event operations, including client acquisition and retention, event planning and execution, as well as group and events revenue management.
