Max Tappeiner has been appointed as President at Wynn Al Marjan Island

Max Tappeiner has been named the new president of Wynn Al Marjan Island, a landmark development in Ras Al Khaimah. Tappeiner transitions from Wynn Las Vegas, where he previously held key roles, including senior vice president of operations and executive vice president of operations, having joined the company in 2022.

Starting September 1, 2024, Tappeiner will oversee the operations of Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is set to feature the UAE's inaugural casino and is projected to open its doors in 2027.

Tappeiner succeeds Thomas Schoen in this leadership position, though Schoen's current role has not been specified.

Before his tenure at Wynn, Tappeiner held various senior leadership roles with prominent hospitality brands such as Resorts World, Venetian and Palazzo, Mandarin Oriental, and Kempinski, with experience across major cities like Washington DC, New York, London, Berlin, and Munich.

Tappeiner's academic background includes an executive MBA from the Royal University of Melbourne in Australia.
