Dana Cates is a results-driven sales leader who specializes in streamlining marketing tactics and developing customized strategies that align with market trends and enhance team performance. Now serving as the Director of Sales for Origin Atlanta, Cates will leverage her leadership and expertise to strengthen customer relations, community engagement and local partnerships.
Originally from New Orleans, LA, Cates studied Business Management with a focus on International Business and Foreign Exchange Economics at American Intercontinental University and Kennesaw State University.
With over 18 years of extensive experience in the Atlanta market, Cates began her career in hospitality as a Front Desk Agent at the Starwood Hotel, learning valuable insight on travel trends and consumer motivation. This insight led to her transition to sales, holding previous positions as the Assistant Director of Sales at Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center and Hotel Colee, an Autograph Collection Hotel. Most recently, she served as Task Force Sales Manager at Transformation Hospitality Solutions. Her career highlights include receiving two district ‘Sales Manager of the Year’ awards for outstanding performance.
