Parag Athavale has been appointed as General Manager at Sagamore Pendry Baltimore
Pendry Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Parag Athavale as the new General Manager of Sagamore Pendry Baltimore. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Parag brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will further elevate the guest experience at the iconic waterfront hotel.
Athavale joins Sagamore Pendry Baltimore from his most recent role as Hotel Manager at Pendry Washington DC - The Wharf, where he played a crucial role in the hotel's opening and successfully led various innovative initiatives. Prior to his role in DC, Athavale held several leadership positions in renowned luxury hotels across the country, including the W New Orleans - French Quarter, The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans, and The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. His experience spans diverse markets and includes significant achievements while leading teams through challenging periods, as well as enhancing guest satisfaction scores.
Athavale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel/Resort Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a diploma in Hotel/Restaurant Administration from Hotel Consult "Cesar Ritz" in Switzerland.
Parag Athavale is an alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) – Class of 1993.
