he Georgian is pleased to announce the appointment of hospitality industry veteran Phillip Pavel to Managing Director of the iconic hotel. The new role follows the restoration and re-opening of the 84-key property in April 2023 by BLVD Hospitality.
Philip joins the iconic Ocean avenue hotel with over 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality and management, boasting executive roles at the most exclusive mainstays across Los Angeles. Following his 20+ year-long tenure as Managing Director at Chateau Marmont, Philip gained recognition as 'one of the most famous gatekeepers in Hollywood', which underscores his contribution towards establishing the hotel's legendary status.
After over two decades at Chateau Marmont, Philip served as Managing Director at The NoMad Hotel's Los Angeles outpost for three years before moving on to become the West Coast Head of Membership and Communications at Soho House. Additionally, Philip held positions as Managing Director at InHouse and various private luxury estates in California, Colorado, and Mexico.

Beyond his demonstrated history and wealth of knowledge in the industry, Philip is also well-versed in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, boasting over 40 credits in film and television as an actor. He additionally served as a board member at the established non-profit arts organization Center Theatre Group.
