Monica Donato has been appointed as Spa Director at Nalu Spa at The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay
The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay has appointed seasoned hospitality leader Monica Donato as Director of Nalu Spa, the resort's newly renovated, 11,000-square-foot wellness haven. In her new role, Monica will oversee operations of Nalu Spa, the fitness center, and all wellness programming offered throughout Turtle Bay.
A first generation American, Monica learned the importance of hard work and caring for others from her parents, two values she has carried with her through her nearly 20 year career. She started her journey as a Spa Supervisor, and quickly gained an appreciation for wellness providers. Her deep love for understanding people and what drives them led to her earning her bachelor's degree in psychology and business management from UC Riverside.
Since graduating, Monica has worked through the ranks in various spas throughout Southern California, ultimately serving as Director of Spa at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Omni Rancho Los Palmas Resort & Spa, and Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa. She left the mainland and joined The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay in 2024, where she aims to showcase the rich culture and unique lifestyle found on the North Shore of O'ahu to each guest.
In her free time, Monica enjoys being in nature and expanding her meditation practice. She is also a Certified Nutrition Coach, earning her certification through the Dr. Berg Program in 2019.
