Edward Villafane has been appointed Managing Director at The Tides Inn
The Tides Inn, a waterfront Chesapeake Bay resort in the heart of Virginia's Northern Neck region, is pleased to announce Edward Villafane as its new Managing Director. With extensive experience managing luxury hotels and resorts across the US, Central America and the Caribbean, Villafane will lead the continued success of the Tides Inn, overseeing all aspects of resort operations as well as team management.
Villafane brings over 40 years of hospitality experience to the resort, most recently serving as Managing Director of Silver Collection Hotel and Lodge at Moss Neck in Fredericksburg, Virginia. A native of New York City, he began his luxury hospitality career at the iconic Plaza Hotel, where he developed expertise in food and beverage, sales and conference services over the course of eight years. His career has also included leadership roles at globally renowned luxury brands such as Four Seasons and Rosewood, with assignments in the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, the Bahamas and Nevis. During his tenure at Rhode Island's historic Ocean House, Villafane was part of the team that achieved Forbes Triple Five-Star recognition, an accolade awarded to only a select few properties worldwide.
Villafane holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baruch College in New York, as well as leadership and finance certifications from Cornell University's hospitality program. His deep passion for creating extraordinary guest experiences aligns seamlessly with the Tides Inn's mission to foster meaningful connections to the natural world and surrounding community.
