Jan Ringertz has been appointed as Chief Operating Office (COO) at Octant Hotels

In his new role, Ringertz will oversee the Octant Hotels portfolio, working alongside Daniel Solsona (MICE), Daniel Gama (Hotels & Resorts), and Frederico Champalimaud (Golf). He will report directly to Joana Soeiro, Chief Operating Officer of Discovery Hotel Management (DHM).

Ringertz brings extensive hospitality credentials to the role, including a Business Administration degree from Stockholm University, an MBA in Tourism, and advanced management training from Cornell University. His 30-year career spans leadership positions at prestigious properties worldwide.

Most recently, Ringertz was Cluster General Manager at Highgate North. His previous experience includes executive leadership at the Fladgate Partnership group, where he oversaw operations for several luxury properties including The Yeatman, Infante de Sagres, and Vintage House Hotel, along with their prestigious Port wine cellars. He also held the position of General Manager at The Cliff Bay and Casa Velha do Palheiro.

Beyond his operational roles, Ringertz serves as Vice President of the Porto and North Tourism Association's Strategic Council, contributing to the region's tourism promotion and representing the interests of local hotels.
