Marriott International has appointed complex director of sales and marketing, Quinten Veerman, across one of the largest Marriot clusters in the region.

His remit encompasses five Wasl-owned hotels; Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre, Aloft & Element Al Mina and Aloft & Element Dubai Airport.

Veerman is a seasoned hospitality leader with over 14 years of international experience spanning across Belgium, France, Qatar and Iceland. Most recently serving as director of sales and marketing at The Reykjavik EDITION, he led his team in driving revenue growth, optimising P&L performance, and achieving operational excellence.

Notably, he played a pivotal role during the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar, overseeing sales and marketing operations ensuring seamless execution in one of the industry's most dynamic environments.

A graduate of the EMEA Marriott Hotel Manager/General Manager Track (2023), Veerman is passionate about delivering high standards of service and implementing innovative strategies to optimise performance.

His career highlights include leadership positions at renowned establishments such as W Doha Hotel & Residences, Paris Marriott Champs Élysées or The Reykjavik EDITION. Fluent in English, French, and Dutch, Veerman's multilingual skills further enhance his ability to connect with global markets and diverse clientele. In his new role, Veerman will oversee the hotel's commercial strategy, including sales, marketing, PR and events, ensuring sustainable growth and enhanced guest experiences.
