Mike Culver has been appointed as General Manager at Fairmont Austin

Mike Culver has been named general manager of Fairmont Austin , ushering in a new era of leadership at the landmark hotel as it begins 2025. In his new position, Culver will lead strategic direction and operational processes for Fairmont Austin's 1,048 rooms, six bars and restaurants, a spa,140,000 square feet of event space and over 800 employees. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rated hotel was also awarded One MICHELIN Key by the 2024 MICHELIN Guide for its Fairmont Gold "hotel within a hotel", which features 131 guest rooms and a 35th floor lounge.

Culver joins Fairmont Hotels with over 20 years of experience in multiple General Manager positions at Marriott properties, and leadership roles at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He began his career in hospitality with Starwood Hotels in 2003 and has since managed successful hotel openings and renovation projects while achieving records in revenue and produced industry leading guest satisfaction and associate engagement results.

A native of Colorado, Culver has served on the Downtown Dallas Inc board and worked closely with Dallas, Houston and Austin Convention and Visitors Bureaus. Culver is moving to Austin with his wife Danica and two children, Luke and Hope.
