George Terpilowski has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Operations at Salamander Collection
Salamander Collection, the luxury hotel company founded by Sheila Johnson, has appointed George Terpilowski as its new Senior Vice President of Operations.
Prior to joining Salamander, Terpilowski was the General Manager of Intercontinental Buckhead, Atlanta. A seasoned luxury hospitality professional with decades of experience, he also served as Regional Vice President Northeast with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which included oversight of Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston, Boston Raffles and The Plaza Hotel in New York.
In his new role, Terpilowski is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotels and resorts within the company's portfolio, for maintaining Salamander's high levels of service quality, and ensuring the company's goals are achieved through increased profitability.
Terpilowski has previously served as Managing Director and Regional Vice President of Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda with oversight of Hamilton Princess Bermuda, Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico and Royal Pavillion in Barbados; as General Manager of Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown; and as General Manager of The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond Virginia. His career began with Grand Heritage Hotels, where he oversaw The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, FL, Union Station Nashville, TN, and The Clift Hotel San Francisco, CA.
A native of London, England, Terpilowski is a passionate fan of Chelsea Football Club of the English Premier League, is an enthusiastic chef, avid reader and tennis player. His family includes wife Judy and children Gavin, Madeline and Liam, along with their dog Hamilton.
