Rob Stirling has been appointed as Director of Commercial at Fairmont Grand Del Mar
Fairmont Grand Del Mar announces the appointment of Rob Stirling as its new Director of Commercial, bringing over 25 years of luxury hospitality leadership, sales and marketing expertise to one of California's most acclaimed resorts.
A proven leader with a track record in branding, repositioning and revenue growth, Stirling is returning to a property he knows well having served as the pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing for The Grand Del Mar in 2005. In his new role, he will oversee all commercial strategies, including marketing, revenue management, membership sales and business development, driving performance while enhancing the resort's presence in the competitive luxury market.
Most recently, Stirling held the position of Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort and Spa along with Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach. Throughout his career, he has led transformative projects at premier properties including The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and W San Diego, where his leadership resulted in significant market share gains, exceptional revenue growth and the successful repositioning of well-known hotels.
Originally from Simsbury, Connecticut, Stirling is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. Now a longtime San Diego resident, he enjoys fitness, golf, international travel, and soccer. He lives in Encinitas with his wife and is a proud father of three accomplished adult children.
