Clayton Hotel & Members Club, Cherry Creek's vibrant hub for connection, dining, and hospitality, managed by Makeready, is pleased to announce the appointment of Colter Hocking as General Manager.

Colter Hocking brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership across operations, food and beverage, and guest experience. Most recently, Hocking served as General Manager of Catbird Hotel, where he guided the property through a period of growth and strengthened its reputation in Denver. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Makeready, including Director of Operations at Halcyon, where he played a key role in elevating service, supporting team development, and enhancing programming across the portfolio. Known for his hands-on leadership style and commitment to mentorship, Hocking has built a reputation for fostering teams that deliver exceptional service and thrive in dynamic environments.

A Colorado resident with deep ties to the Denver community, Hocking has spent much of his career cultivating hospitality experiences rooted in warmth and connection. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his two children, often exploring Denver's culinary scene. An unwavering advocate for professional growth, he considers his greatest achievement the success stories of the team members he has mentored, championed, and watched rise into leadership roles.

Colter Hocking is an alumnus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) – Class of 2013.
