Fergus Mac Devitt has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Raffles and Fairmont Makati
Raffles and Fairmont Makati proudly welcomes Fergus Mac Devitt as its new Hotel Manager, joining the leadership team under the continued guidance of Cluster General Manager Bernd Schneider. Fergus brings over 20 years of luxury hospitality experience across Europe and Asia, with a proven track record in operational excellence, team leadership, and guest experience innovation.
His career began in Dublin and Berlin, progressing through key roles in Swissôtel and Fairmont properties across Germany, China, Japan, and Singapore. Fergus has held senior leadership positions in renowned hotels such as Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, Pullman Tokyo Tamachi, and Castlemartyr Resort in Ireland, where he led the launch of Terre, a fine-dining restaurant that earned two Michelin stars.
Most recently, Fergus served as Hotel Manager at Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland, overseeing full operations for the 213-room resort. Under his leadership, the property achieved its highest-ever revenue and GOP, alongside record improvements in employee engagement and guest satisfaction.
Having spent the majority of his career within Accor, the global hospitality group behind the Fairmont and Raffles brands, Fergus brings a deep understanding of the company's luxury standards, service philosophy, and brand DNA. This familiarity positions him to seamlessly integrate into the Makati team and drive continued excellence.
Now based in the Philippines, Fergus leads one of the city's most distinguished addresses with a vision that blends timeless elegance with modern relevance.
