Matthieu Busschaert has been appointed as General Manager at Creekside Hotel Dubai by Accor
United Hospitality Management (UHM) has announced the appointment of Matthieu Busschaert as General Manager at the soon-to-launch Creekside Hotel Dubai by Accor.
The industry leader brings over two decades of global hospitality experience having produced transformative work during his time in ultra-luxury, lifestyle and boutique hotels across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United States.
Most recently, Busschaert served as General Manager for the MGallery Hotel Collection in Manila where he spearheaded the property's pre-opening, ensuring it became one of only five hotels featured in the Michelin Guide Philippines in both 2024 and 2025.
Under his leadership, the hotel consistently achieved guest satisfaction scores exceeding 95 percent while also earning recognition for its elevated service culture and curated guest experiences.

As General Manager at Creekside Hotel Dubai by Accor, Busschaert will be tasked with leading all aspects of the hotel's final pre-opening phase, talent recruitment, brand integration and operational launch, setting the stage for another milestone in United Hospitality Management's growing portfolio of luxury and lifestyle properties.
Highly regarded within the industry, Busschaert's previous roles include senior leadership positions at globally recognised brands such as Fairmont, Raffles and Sofitel where he oversaw operations, brand development, along with F&B excellence across complex hotel ecosystems.
From launching award-winning rooftop venues in Vietnam to optimizing flagship F&B concepts in Dubai and Cannes, Busschaert has demonstrated an unmatched ability to blend operational precision with creative vision.
A graduate of Ecole de Savignac and Cornell University, Busschaert holds a bachelor's degree from Sorbonne Université having also completed international programmes at Johnson & Wales University.
As a fluent speaker of both French and English, with a solid knowledge of Spanish, he brings a multicultural leadership style to his new role with Creekside Hotel Dubai by Accor.
