Adam Baylis–Waterlow has been appointed as General Manager at British Pullman, A Belmond Train, England

British Pullman, A Belmond Train, England announces the appointment of Adam Baylis-Waterlow as General Manager, effective immediately. Adam's extensive experience in travel, creative vision, and dedication to guest experience make him ideally suited to lead the British Pullman into its next chapter.

Adam Baylis

Since joining the British Pullman team in January 2025 as Guest Experience Director, Adam has been instrumental in shaping every facet of the guest journey, introducing new destinations, evolving immersive events, and forging high-profile creative partnerships, including collaborations with Jean Paul Gaultier and Universal Pictures' Wicked: For Good.

These initiatives have further established British Pullman as a platform for distinctive, culturally relevant experiences.

In his new role, Adam will oversee the strategic management, operations, and both guest and employee experience for the British Pullman. With over 17 years of leadership in travel and hospitality, including roles at Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and a leading UK immersive experience brand, Adam brings a wealth of expertise in delivering premium, innovative guest experiences and driving operational excellence.

Adam's vision will be instrumental in upholding the train's renowned service standards and continuing to craft unique experiences across every journey, now elevated with the addition of the train's new private dining and events carriage, Celia.

Imagined and designed by visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, together with Oscar-winning costume and production designer, Catherine Martin, Celia is set to launch in early Summer 2026. Set within an original 1932 Pullman carriage, Celia features its own cocktail bar, lounge, dining and entertainment area, offering up to 12 guests the most intimate and cinematic way to experience Britain's most storied train, and the chance to create bespoke events and private dining moments.

The British Pullman invites guests to explore the enchanting English countryside aboard its beautifully restored Art Deco carriages. Operating from February to December, the train offers a variety of journeys departing from London Victoria, where guests can indulge in gourmet dining and participate in themed events and excursions. Each journey is distinguished by rich heritage, refined elegance, and unparalleled hospitality.
