Chris Delgado has been appointed as General Manager at The Sarasota Modern, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Oliver Hospitality has appointed Chris Delgado as General Manager of The Sarasota Modern. Delgado brings more than 15 years of experience across hotel management, openings, guest services, and operations to the 89-room property located in Sarasota’s vibrant Rosemary District. Boasting two on-site dining concepts, Wink Wink Food & Drink and Wink Wink Pool Bar, The Sarasota Modern also features an iconic pool deck and proximity to Lido Key Beach. In his new role, Delgado will oversee day-to-day operations, guest experience, financial performance, and team leadership.
Delgado joins Oliver Hospitality following nearly two years at AvantStay, where he led end-to-end hotel openings in Nashville, including the launch of The Gilmore. He previously served on the opening team as General Manager of the Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown and began his career with a seven-year tenure at Omni Hotels & Resorts, where he held leadership roles including Assistant Director of Rooms and Director of Front Office.
The Sarasota Modern is set to debut its re-concepted on-site restaurant, Wink Wink Food & Drink, in fall 2026, introducing a fresh take on mid-century glamour in modern Sarasota. Delgado will play a key role in ensuring a seamless launch and continued evolution of the guest experience.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Delgado is excited to return to coastal living after more than a decade in Nashville, noting, “Being close to the beach again brings balance and calm.” In his free time, he enjoys music festivals, discovering new cocktail bars, and — in his words — “making a hobby out of teaching myself how to be embarrassing on as many different golf courses as possible.”
