Remington Hospitality has appointed seasoned hospitality leader Karen Roche Paulon, CMP as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for its two iconic Key West properties, La Concha Key West, Autograph Collection and Pier House Resort & Spa. With more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience across global brands like Marriott International, Hyatt, Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham and several luxury independent resorts, Paulon offers unmatched expertise in her field and a history of data-driven solutions.
Paulon will oversee all sales and marketing operations, in addition to leading revenue strategies, generating new business and fostering cross-collaboration across teams. Drawing on her extensive Marriott background and passion for building strong client partnerships, she is focused on delivering measurable results while empowering her teams for long-term success.
Based in Key West, Paulon will work to maximize hotel performance through dynamic pricing strategies and a strong operational focus on seasonality and tourism-driven demand. She will collaborate closely with on-property teams to integrate compelling island storytelling into sales and marketing efforts—strengthening market position and outperforming competitive expectations for both historic, beloved vacation destinations.
Originally from Boston, Paulon began her hospitality journey as a concierge with Marriott International, where she quickly discovered her aptitude for revenue-focused strategy. She advanced into senior sales and revenue management roles across New England and the U.S. Virgin Islands including recent significant positions as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at Hersha Hospitality Management and OTO Development, leading revenue growth initiatives, spearheading training programs, and managing diverse client portfolios. Recognizing her impact and passion for the hospitality industry, Paulon was honored as Manager of the Quarter in Marriott International’s Northeastern region.
As a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Paulon achieved a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Administration and Management, where she started to develop an interest in sales strategies and leading teams towards success. While building a robust background in financial analysis and interpersonal skills, she aimed to blend her love for traveling with her professional pursuit of achieving revenue milestones.
When she’s not working, Paulon enjoys embracing the laid-back lifestyle of Key West. She can often be found spending time at the beach, experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen, or strolling through the island’s charming historic neighborhoods while discovering local cafés, art galleries, and cultural gems. “The ocean soothes the soul,” Paulon said, noting that being surrounded by the natural beauty of Key West is one of the most rewarding parts of calling the island home.
