Mariano Cannello has been named General Manager at Hilton Buenos Aires

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Mariano Cannello as the new general manager of Hilton Buenos Aires. In his new role, Mariano Cannello will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including sales and marketing, hotel administration and guest services. With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Cannello will focus on further enhancing the hotel’s culinary offerings, elevated guest experience and signature service, reinforcing its position as one of the most sought‑after hotels in Buenos Aires, located in the vibrant Puerto Madero district.

Most recently, Cannello served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for South America at Hilton, where he supported 22 hotels across five countries and six brands. In this role, he led regional commercial strategy and consistently drove strong performance, with multiple hotels surpassing key commercial metrics amid an evolving global tourism landscape.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Cannello returns to the city where his hospitality career began. He started as a Front Desk Agent at Hilton Buenos Aires before relocating to France, where he held operational leadership roles at three hotels in Paris and later transitioned into revenue management. His next assignment with Hilton was the opening of Hilton Vilamoura Golf Resort & Spa, in Portugal. Following some projects at other companies in Italy, he returned to Hilton in 2015 as Director of Revenue Management for the opening of Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro, and subsequently rejoined Hilton Buenos Aires as Commercial Director. Over the course of his career, Cannello has worked in five countries and across 13 hotels, including seven Hilton properties spanning airport, resort and urban destinations.
