Clark Hanrattie has been promoted to CEO and Managing Partner at HEI Hotels & Resorts
HEI Hotels & Resorts has promoted Clark Hanrattie, a partner at the firm for 23 years, to CEO/managing partner, effective July 1. He will succeed Anthony Rutledge, who has held the role since 2012. After the transition, Rutledge will remain a significant owner of HEI, an engaged partner and a steward for the industry.
Over his career, Hanrattie has been instrumental in the acquisition, revenue management and expense management of more than 175 hotels, with transaction value exceeding $9 billion. He began his career in 1993 at Olympus Real Estate, where he rose from analyst to partner and led all hotel investment and asset management activities. He left in 2004 to join HEI and strengthen its owner/operator business model. Hanrattie has since helped grow HEI’s portfolio from 35 to more than 100 hotels and has worked across all divisions of the company.
During Rutledge’s tenure, HEI increased the real estate value of its third-party hotel and joint venture assets under management from $2 billion in 2012 to more than $20 billion.
