Pauline Chua has been appointed as Group General Manager at Iconic Worldwide Berhad
Iconic Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Pauline Chua as Group General Manager. This milestone marks a meaningful homecoming for the Penang-born hospitality veteran as she returns to lead the group during a pivotal phase of growth and brand evolution.
In her new role, Chua will oversee operations across three properties: Iconic Marjorie Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Iconic Regency Service Residences and Iconic Hotel Penang. Her appointment reflects the group’s commitment to strengthening brand identity, enhancing service consistency, and delivering elevated guest experiences across its portfolio.
With over 32 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chua brings with her a wealth of international exposure, having worked across Thailand, China, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea. Her career has been shaped by a deep curiosity for people and cultures, as well as a strong passion for building high-performing teams. Having led both single properties and multi-property portfolios, she offers a well-rounded perspective on operational excellence and sustainable brand growth.
Prior to this appointment, Chua served as the General Manager of Amari Johor Bahru under ONYX Hospitality Group, where she successfully drove performance and brand recognition. Under her leadership, the property garnered multiple prestigious accolades, including Best Contemporary Hotel at the Malaysia International Tourism Development Awards 2025 and Brand Leadership in Hospitality at the BrandLaureate Brand of the Year Awards 2024.
