Cleavon Tan has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Hotels & Hospitality Group, Hong Kong at JLL's Hotels & Hospitality Group
JLL (NYSE: JLL) announced the appointment of Cleavon Tan as Senior Vice President, Hotels & Hospitality Group, Hong Kong. Effective immediately, Tan will focus on providing strategic advisory services to Hong Kong’s diverse hotels sector, growing and strengthening JLL's platform in Hong Kong, deepening client relationships and expanding the firm's presence across the hospitality sector in this key global market.
Tan brings over a decade of hospitality advisory expertise to his new position. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, he was based in Singapore within JLL's Hotels Advisory team, where he worked extensively across markets in North Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean. He has also spent time with JLL's Hotels team in London, gaining exposure to a different advisory environment and mature market dynamics.
Throughout his career, Tan has developed extensive experience advising institutional capital and owners across a wide range of hospitality assets. His background spans complex valuations, strategic advisory, and buyside work, bringing a structured, analytical, and insight-led approach informed by his experience across Asia.
In his new role, Tan will work closely with the business to build a targeted pipeline of opportunities across institutional investors, private equity, and owner-operators. His focus will be on cultivating strong client relationships, identifying strategic entry points, and maintaining ongoing engagement across the Hong Kong hospitality platform.
Tan’s appointment comes off the back of JLL establishing its hotel advisory services in the Greater Bay Area with the appointment of Shirley Du as Vice President based in Shenzhen in November 2025, complementing the hotel advisory teams in Shanghai and Beijing.
