Vannesa Bordoy has been appointed as Executive Chef at Dolly Parton's Songteller Hotel
Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel is proud to announce the appointment of Executive Chef Vannesa Bordoy, a globally-inspired culinary leader whose career journey spans Ecuador to Nashville and reflects a deep commitment to excellence, creativity and hospitality. In her new role, she will lead all culinary programming for the iconic hotel, bringing a dynamic and inclusive approach to menu design, guest experience and team development.
Most recently serving as Executive Chef at the Graduate Hotel’s White Limozeen in Nashville, she previously held roles as Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef. During her tenure, she oversaw full restaurant operations, including menu development, inventory and cost control, and quality assurance. She has also led large-scale banquet and event production, managed staffing and scheduling, and fostered strong synergy between front- and back-of-the-house teams.
A graduate of Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador, Bordoy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy, bringing a rich academic foundation rooted in international cuisine. Her studies emphasized Japanese fusion, French and Italian traditions, South American cooking, pastry arts, sushi and bartending - an early indication of the global perspective that continues to define her culinary voice today.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Bordoy is known for her collaborative, mentorship-driven leadership style and her passion for developing talent. She approaches cooking with a deep respect for high-quality ingredients, creating menus that are both vibrant and intentional. In the hotel’s intimate performance venue, Parton’s Live, Bordoy brings this vision to life through Southern-inspired dishes and thoughtfully composed cocktails that strike a harmonious balance of flavor and creativity. That same philosophy carries through to Jolene's – the hotel’s greenroom in the sky – where her bold, chef-driven approach shapes an experience defined by warmth, artistry and a confident sense of place.
