Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti announces the appointment of Mary Bowens as General Manager, bringing more than two and a half decades of experience with Four Seasons to one of the world’s most iconic safari destinations.
Mary joins the lodge following her recent role as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, where she was recognised for her people‑first approach, deep respect for local culture and ability to create immersive guest experiences in harmony with nature. Her appointment marks the next chapter in a distinguished career spanning Europe, North America, Asia‑Pacific and the Indian Ocean.

Mary began her career with Four Seasons in 2001 at the former Four Seasons Hotel Dublin, progressing through front office, housekeeping and rooms roles across a portfolio of flagship hotels and resorts including Chicago, Seattle, Maui, Toronto, Sydney and Bali. Recognised for her operational expertise and collaborative approach, she has consistently focused on developing talent, nurturing strong teams and delivering thoughtful, personalised guest experiences.
Throughout her career, Mary has remained deeply committed to mentorship and professional development - an approach that aligns naturally with the brand’s people‑first culture and long‑standing commitment to excellence.
In her new role, Mary will oversee all aspects of lodge operations, guiding the continued evolution of the guest experience while supporting the long‑standing commitment of Four Seasons to conservation, community engagement and responsible tourism within the Serengeti ecosystem.
