Gurevich brings more than 18 years of luxury hospitality leadership experience across Hyatt’s acclaimed portfolio. Known for his people-centered leadership style and commitment to operational excellence, Gurevich has built a distinguished career leading iconic hospitality destinations while cultivating high-performing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Throughout his tenure with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, he has earned recognition for elevating service standards, driving sustained financial performance, and strengthening organizational culture across a collection of premier luxury properties.

Most recently, Gurevich served as General Manager of The Chatwal, New York, where he played an instrumental role in driving operational and financial success at one of Hyatt’s flagship luxury assets. Under his leadership, the property continued to deliver elevated guest satisfaction, strong team engagement, and meaningful business growth through a strategic and highly personalized approach to hospitality.

His hospitality experience spans several renowned properties, including Grand Hyatt New York, Resort at Squaw Creek, and Royal Palms Resort and Spa, where he developed expertise in luxury operations, experiential hospitality, brand positioning, and culture building. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style and ability to inspire teams, Sebastian has become known for creating environments where both colleagues and guests thrive.

In his new role, Gurevich will oversee all operations at Alila Ventana Big Sur, one of Hyatt’s most celebrated luxury resorts and a globally recognized experiential destination known for its intimate connection to nature, immersive wellness offerings, and transformative guest experiences.
