Spanning nearly two decades, Richard Behr’s relationship with Marc & Rose Hospitality and Grossman Company Properties is one of timeless dedication. His journey with the collection traces back to the mid-1990s, when they first acquired the Arizona Biltmore. He subsequently built an impactful career with some of the most storied hospitality brands, including Ritz-Carlton, Hilton Hotels, and Destination Hotels & Resorts, before returning in 2007 as Managing Director of the Arizona Grand Resort. Behr has been honored with numerous accolades from Mobil, AAA, and Condé Nast over the course of his career and was appointed to the Governor’s Tourism Alliance. His elegant and steadfast leadership has been fundamental to Marc & Rose Hospitality’s ascent into a multifaceted, expansive hospitality collection. Following his transformational career, Richard Behr looks forward to traveling and savoring the open horizons life has to offer.

The Marc & Rose Hospitality collection spans some of the most coveted landscapes of the American West, from the glittering California coastline to Arizona’s scenic high desert. La Playa Hotel maintains its charming diversity in Carmel-by-the-Sea, while the Hotel Carmel offers a more intimate retreat along the iconic seaside. Along the Southern California coast, the tastefully renovated Casa Loma Beach Hotel dazzles on Main Beach, and the sun-kissed Laguna Beach House offers a cottage-like respite just steps from the water. The Scott Resort & Spa harnesses its absorbing location, harmonizing downtown Scottsdale with the tranquility of the surrounding desert. In Phoenix, the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa stands as a premier desert refuge, offering world-class amenities and unmatched comfort amid breathtaking natural surroundings. Further north in Flagstaff, the High Country Motor Lodge has become a beloved emblem of northern Arizona’s rugged charm and the quintessential, atmospheric Marc & Rose Hospitality experience. The renowned hospitality group’s exceptional craft is tangible in the distinctive soul of each property.

Marc & Rose confidently looks to the future with Tim Price’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer. Tim Price has been instrumental in Marc & Rose’s growth over the past 15 years, providing thoughtful oversight of sales, marketing, revenue strategies, and operational insights across the expanding portfolio. He has cultivated an intimate familiarity with the collection’s ethos of aesthetic pursuit and immersive experience, as well as a tangible commitment to its continued growth. Price gained his expertise at Marriott over 20 years, holding roles including Marketing Sales Leader for 26 Marriott properties throughout California and Director of Sales and Marketing at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. He is also a recipient of Marriott’s acclaimed Sales Leader of the Year Award, which honors distinguished accomplishments in hospitality. Tim Price carries the same strategic insight, innovative spirit, and collaborative nature that have defined his career into his new role as COO.

What makes this transition notable is not simply the exceptional individuals involved, but the culture they refined in tandem, which is the true backbone of the collection. Marc & Rose Hospitality has nurtured a legacy of unparalleled depth, built on innovation, immersive experience, and a fervent dedication to hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. Over more than five years, Richard Behr and Tim Price have worked jointly to cultivate the collection’s eminence and livelihood.
