Angela Vickers has been named Director of Meetings & Events at Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, the secluded luxury retreat perched directly over the water in the heart of Monterey's vibrant Cannery Row.
Angela has been an integral part of Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa for 13 years. Beginning as a Reservations Agent in 2013 and soon earning a promotion to Group Rooms Coordinator, she was then promoted to Executive Meeting Manager, where she spent the next two years successfully booking small groups and selling food and beverage. She earned a further promotion to Catering & Conference Services Manager and later to Senior Meeting & Events Manager in November 2017.
Throughout her tenure, Angela has been recognized for her impact and leadership, including Manager of the Quarter (2018), Top Producer (2019), and Manager of the Year (2022). Following the challenges of the pandemic, she played a key role in the hotel's reopening efforts, helping rebuild a stronger, more dynamic Meetings & Events department.
Outside of work, Angela loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking or kayaking. She also enjoys listening to live music and exploring Monterey County's incredible restaurants and wineries.
