David Lang has been appointed as Regional Vice President of Operations, Full-Service and Lifestyle Hotels at First Hospitality
First Hospitality, a national hotel operating, management, and development company, announces the appointment of David Lang as regional vice president of operations, full-service and lifestyle hotels. Lang brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience to the position.
As regional vice president of operations, full-service and lifestyle hotels, Lang will provide strategic direction across a portfolio of hotels, driving financial performance, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction. He will work closely with general managers and property-level teams to execute brand standards, enhance service culture, and optimize performance.
Throughout his hospitality career, Lang has held leadership positions spanning operations, development, and asset transformation. Lang’s experience includes New Waterloo, where he played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, commercial strategy and strategic growth. Lang also served as the General Manager of The LINE Austin (Sydell Group), where he spearheaded the property's evolution into one of the nation's most acclaimed lifestyle hotels, earning widespread industry recognition. Earlier in his career, he held key leadership roles with Sydell Group, SBE Hotel Group, and OLS Hotels & Resorts, where he consistently delivered exceptional financial performance, elevated guest experience metrics, and successfully executed complex renovations, repositionings, and brand transformation initiatives that enhanced asset value and market competitiveness.
Lang studied hospitality management at the University of North Texas and holds a certification in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University. In his free time, Lang enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his children as they pursue their dreams, listening to live music, and remaining a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan.
