Akshara Walia has been promoted to Managing Director PKF research GmbH at PKF hospitality group
The PKF hospitality group is pleased to announce the promotion of Akshara Walia to Managing Director PKF research GmbH, effective 1 July 2026. In her new role, Walia will lead the group’s global hospitality research activities, further strengthening PKF hospitality groups position as a leading provider of market intelligence, analytics and strategic advisory services for the hospitality and real estate sectors.
Walia joined the PKF hospitality group in 2016 and has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s research capabilities and data-driven consulting services. As Director of Research, she led the data analytics division, overseeing market analyses, industry publications, forecasting models and bespoke research projects for international clients. Her work has contributed significantly to enhancing market transparency and supporting strategic decision-making across the hospitality industry.
In 2025, Walia additionally assumed leadership of research at the Future of Hospitality Institute, an industry think tank focused on serviced living. In this capacity, she spearheaded quantitative research initiatives covering high-growth sectors including branded residences, co-living and student accommodation.
Holding a PhD in Business and Socioeconomics, Walia combines academic excellence with extensive consulting experience, bringing a unique perspective to hospitality research and market intelligence.
