Allan Bella has been appointed as General Manager at Kimpton George Hotel
Kimpton Hotel George has announced the appointment of Allan Bella as its new General Manager, who will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, team development, guest satisfaction and strategic market positioning for the Capitol Hill property. Bella comes into this role with more than 12 years of hospitality leadership spanning independent, branded and lifestyle hotels across the United States.
Allan Bella’s appointment marks a strategic return to both the Capitol Hill neighborhood and the Kimpton brand. Earlier in his career, he served as the Assistant General Manager at the nearby Phoenix Park Hotel, providing him with firsthand insight into the unique demands, competitive landscape and distinct customer base of the local market. His extensive professional background includes pivotal leadership roles with independent boutique concepts, European lifestyle properties, Hyatt Place, Westin by Marriott and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Most recently, Bella directed hotel operations within the Washington, D.C. area, focused on balancing guest satisfaction with financial performance and long-term asset value growth.
Under Allan’s leadership, the property will focus heavily on tailoring its daily operations to the fast-paced Capitol Hill demographic, including lawmakers, lobbyists and media professionals who require seamless efficiency, discretion and reliable service recovery. To elevate the boutique experience, the hotel will implement curated neighborhood recommendations, elevated arrival experiences and comfortable social spaces designed for both work and decompression. The hotel also provides dedicated meeting and event spaces, including the Gallery and Leaders rooms, to accommodate professional gatherings for its Capitol Hill clientele.
Allan’s primary mission for his initial months includes strengthening operational fundamentals, driving team engagement and transforming the hotel lobby into a welcoming "living room" where locals, traveling professionals, and weekend visitors can gather for community events and social connection.
