Jean-Baptiste Ruiz has been appointed as Asset Manager at Global Asset Solutions
Global Asset Solutions, a leading independent hospitality asset management and advisory firm, has appointed Jean-Baptiste Ruiz as asset manager, further strengthening its capabilities and global presence.
Ruiz joins the Asia Pacific team as Global Asset Solutions continues to expand in response to growing client demand and an increasing pipeline of hospitality asset management mandates throughout Asia Pacific.
Ruiz brings extensive international experience having worked across Europe, Australia and Asia with globally recognised hotel brands including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Park Hyatt and Accor. His expertise spans asset performance optimisation, portfolio analysis, business planning, budgeting and forecasting, capital investment strategy and owner reporting.
Prior to joining Global Asset Solutions, Ruiz was responsible for the asset management of a 25-hotel portfolio comprising 2,678 rooms and generating annual revenues in excess of €113 million. In this role, he delivered financial, operational and commercial analysis to support ownership decision-making and drive long-term asset value.
His experience also includes hotel repositioning and rebranding initiatives, hotel management agreement negotiations, operational implementation, product and brand development and the design of data-led reporting and performance management tools.
Ruiz’s appointment represents the latest step in Global Asset Solutions' long-term growth strategy. Last month, the group announced the appointment of Francisco Garcia Auyanet as asset manager, reinforcing the firm's commitment to expanding its global footprint and enhancing the depth of expertise available to hotel owners, investors and lenders.
