Brian Johnson has been appointed as Area Managing Director at Loews Hotels & Co
Loews Hotels & Co has appointed Brian Johnson as Area Managing Director of its Arlington hotel collection, reinforcing the company's leadership team as the destination continues its rapid growth as a premier sports, entertainment, meetings and cultural hub.
Johnson will oversee operations at Live! by Loews – Arlington and Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, while leading the pre-opening efforts for Americana by Loews Hotels, the company's newest hotel currently under development in Arlington. He will also continue his oversight of Loews Kansas City Hotel.
The appointment comes as Arlington continues to attract record visitation, major sporting events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, concerts and large scale conventions, positioning Loews Hotels in Arlington as one of Texas' most dynamic destinations.
Johnson brings more than 24 years of experience with Loews Hotels & Co, most recently serving as Managing Director of Loews Kansas City Hotel, where he led the property's successful opening and established it as one of the Midwest's premier convention hotels. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at Loews Hollywood Hotel, Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Lake Las Vegas Resort, and Universal Orlando Resort hotels.
Loews Hotels Arlington Collection includes the 300-room Live! by Loews – Arlington, connected by skybridge to the 888-room Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. Together, the properties offer more than 300,000 square feet of meeting and event space, ten unique dining concepts, and resort style amenities with walkable access to Arlington's Entertainment District, including AT&T Stadium - home to the Dallas Cowboys, Globe Life Field - home to the 2023 World Champion Texas Rangers, Choctaw Stadium, the award winning National Medal of Honor Museum and more. With the addition of Americana by Loews, a new upscale hotel that will add 507 guest rooms and suites and more than 83,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including a signature 10,000 square foot Event Barn, Loews Hotels will have a guest room count of 1,695 and nearly 385,000 square feet of meeting space in Arlington, Texas.
