Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ranjitkumar Sukumaran as Executive Head Chef ahead of its highly anticipated opening in September 2026. The hotel has appointed Sukumaran to develop the culinary vision behind its two new dining concepts, which will include a contemporary British restaurant overlooking Hyde Park.
With more than 23 years of experience across some of London’s leading luxury hotels, Sukumaran brings extensive culinary expertise and a passion for quality, seasonality and sustainable cuisine to the role. Sukumaran joins following four years at The Londoner, where he progressed to Executive Head Chef, having previously held senior culinary roles at Corinthia London, Royal Garden Hotel, Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Wentbridge House Hotel.
In his new role, Sukumaran will lead the culinary direction across Hyde & Seek’s food and beverage offering, working closely with the wider hotel team ahead of opening to develop its culinary identity and establish the hotel as an exciting new addition to the area’s evolving food and drink scene.
Following the hotel’s £42 million transformation of the former Corus Hotel Hyde Park, Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will debut two distinctive food and beverage concepts. Sukumaran will oversee the culinary direction across both Seekers Restaurant & Bar and HydeOut.
Seekers Restaurant & Bar is a 138-seat contemporary British restaurant overlooking Hyde Park, which will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea within an eclectic, design-led setting. The restaurant will also feature an intimate, speakeasy-inspired bar focused on inventive cocktails and relaxed social occasions. Alongside Seekers, HydeOut will offer an 88-seat all-day café lounge and co-working space, providing a relaxed and flexible setting for everything from morning coffee and casual dining to meetings and evening drinks, set beneath a striking glass-roofed courtyard.
At Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Sukumaran will focus on creating a distinctive culinary identity inspired by the hotel's unique location overlooking Hyde Park and the rich cultural diversity of Bayswater and Lancaster Gate. Across both Seekers Restaurant & Bar and HydeOut, his menus will celebrate the very best of seasonal British produce, reimagined through modern techniques and subtle global influences that reflect the neighbourhood's cosmopolitan character.
From refined interpretations of British classics, including Cornish crab, Orkney scallops and Aberdeen Angus beef, to Middle Eastern and Pan-Asian inspired small plates designed for sharing, Sukumaran's approach will balance refined yet approachable dining with memorable hospitality. His appointment will play an integral role in shaping the hotel's wider guest experience, creating food and drink concepts that feel equally relevant to London locals as they do to hotel guests, from relaxed breakfasts and afternoon tea through to destination dining and evening cocktails.
