The Driskill is pleased to announce the appointment of Travis Breen as Director of Sales, Marketing & Events. A seasoned hospitality leader with more than 25 years of experience, Breen brings a proven track record of driving revenue, developing high-performing teams and cultivating lasting client relationships. In his new role, Breen will oversee The Driskill’s integrated sales, marketing and events strategy, focused on expanding the hotel’s reach, fostering key partnerships and supporting continued growth across leisure, group and events business as the storied Downtown Austin hotel enters a new era.
Breen joins The Driskill on the heels of its completion of a comprehensive, top-to-bottom renovation, and as it prepares to celebrate its milestone 140th Anniversary this December. Completed in Summer 2026, the transformation included all guest rooms and suites, the lobby and common areas, meeting and social spaces and the hotel’s culinary offerings, including 1886 Café & Bakery, the refreshed Driskill Grill and Bar and new cocktail bar, The Victorian, all of which are now overseen by Austin-based MML Hospitality.
Throughout his career, Breen has held senior positions with leading hospitality brands, including Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Modus Hotels, YOTEL and Piatt Hotel Group, working across luxury, lifestyle and independent hotel portfolios nationwide. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales, Marketing & Events at Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin, where he oversaw sales and digital marketing efforts, driving strong year-over-year growth in group revenue while advancing the hotel’s overall performance and competitive positioning. His knowledge of the Austin hospitality landscape, paired with his broad industry experience, will be instrumental in his role at The Driskill. Breen holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Development from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Japanese Studies and Language from Gettysburg College.
