Puspa Anggareni has been appointed as General Manager at NIHI Rote & Hospitality Academy
NIHI Rote & Hospitality Academy, the newly opened luxury resort on Indonesia’s southernmost island, has announced the appointment of Puspa Anggareni as general manager.
A seasoned hospitality leader with more than two decades of experience across Indonesia's luxury hospitality industry, Anggareni will oversee all resort operations, drawing on her extensive operational expertise to elevate the guest experience, support the continued development of the team and further strengthen NIHI Rote's people-first culture and pioneering Hospitality Academy.
Prior to joining NIHI Rote, Anggareni served as director of Banyan Tree Experience, where she led the award-winning Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape, after previously serving as resort manager. She began her career in guest-facing roles before advancing into senior operational leadership, where she played an instrumental role in opening Capella Ubud's tented camp as director of rooms.
Set along the pristine shores of Bo’a Beach, NIHI Rote & Hospitality Academy debuted in May 2026 as the second property from the acclaimed NIHI brand. The resort pairs 21 design-forward villas, world-class surf, wellness programming and immersive cultural experiences with a pioneering Hospitality Academy integrated into the fabric of the resort, creating meaningful connections between guests and the local community. Powered by visionary investor Michael Schwab and developed in collaboration with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta, the program provides immersive, hands-on training across all facets of resort operations. This fall, the resort will debut its signature restaurant Savu, main pool, spa and expanded wellness amenities, sports facilities and more.
