Kolin Pound has been named Area President Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) at Hilton
Hilton has appointed Kolin Pound as area president, Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), overseeing the company’s operations across the region. In his new role, Pound will lead hotel teams, work closely with owners and other key stakeholders, and support Hilton’s continued growth and performance across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Pound joins Hilton from Ares Management, where he served as managing director and worked with leadership teams on strategy, operational performance and value creation across a diverse portfolio that included hospitality assets throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. He will report to Danny Hughes, president, Americas, Hilton.
Before joining Ares Management, Pound was senior principal at Walton Street Capital, focusing on asset management and acquisitions across the real estate and hospitality sectors. Over the course of his career, he has led transactions across Latin America, the United States and Europe, building extensive experience working with owners, operators and management teams to improve asset performance and support long-term growth.
Hilton currently operates a portfolio of 315 hotels and resorts across more than 35 countries and territories in the Caribbean and Latin America. The company has a further 150 hotels in development and continues to expand across luxury, lifestyle, full-service, focused-service, resort and all-inclusive segments.
