Laurent Herschbach has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo
Metropole Monte-Carlo has announced the appointment of Laurent Herschbach as General Manager, effective October 1, 2026. After 30 years at the Ritz Paris, he brings extensive operational and leadership experience to the role as the hotel enters its next chapter while preserving its distinctive Monegasque identity. Herschbach succeeds Klaus Kabelitz, who served as Interim General Manager during the peak season.
Having joined the Ritz Paris in 1997, Herschbach progressed from front desk roles to General Manager and held a number of senior positions including Director of Rooms, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Operations and Hotel Director. This breadth of experience has provided him with extensive knowledge across all facets of hotel operations.
A graduate of the École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg, Herschbach has also completed hotel management studies at Cornell University and further training in finance at HEC Paris
