Dany Lützel has been appointed as General Manager at East Beijing Hotel
EAST Beijing is pleased to announce the appointment of Dany Lützel as General Manager. A Swiss national who has spent more than a decade in Chinese Mainland, Dany brings over 25 years of luxury hospitality leadership experience across the country and Europe. He will lead the hotel's operations and team as EAST Beijing enters its next chapter, continuing to foster a growing community of curious minds, creatives and modern travellers who approach work, life and travel differently.
Having held senior positions with Niccolo Hotels, Kempinski, Radisson Blue and Hotel Éclat Beijing, Dany has a proven track record of cultivating strong teams and delivering exceptional results. He successfully spearheaded the pre-opening of the 252-room Niccolo Chongqing and, most recently, further strengthened Hotel Éclat Beijing's reputation, earning the property numerous industry accolades.
Dany’s connection to Chinese Mainland began in 2010, when he attended Fudan University in Shanghai during the World Expo. He later moved to Chongqing for his first hotel General Manager role before returning to Beijing. Having lived and worked across different cities, Dany brings a deep understanding of the country’s fast-evolving hospitality landscape and remains inspired by its dynamism, ambition and constant spirit of reinvention.
Having first encountered EAST Beijing as a guest, he was immediately drawn to its distinctive blend of thoughtful design, welcoming atmosphere and deep connection to the local community, qualities that continue to resonate with him today.
Beyond hospitality, Dany's connection to Beijing is rooted in a genuine curiosity about the city and its people. Whether exploring hutongs, galleries and neighborhood cafés or seeking out new restaurants and cultural experiences with his family, he is continually inspired by the vibrancy and diversity of the capital.
