Lisa Mercer has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland
The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland proudly announces the appointment of Lisa Mercer as General Manager of the downtown property. Bringing more than 25 years of experience leading award-winning resorts and hotels within Marriott International, Mercer oversees all operations for the luxury property as it embarks on a new, visionary phase following its 35th-anniversary milestone this year.
Mercer most recently served as Resort Manager at The Phoenician and Canyon Suites, A Luxury Collection Resort in Scottsdale. Under her leadership, the resorts maintained prestigious Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond luxury distinctions, achieved consistent financial performance, and strengthened associate engagement. Her strategic vision was instrumental in the introduction of The Villas at Canyon Suites, an ultra-luxury concept designed to elevate the guest experience with residential-style private accommodations.
Throughout her distinguished career, Mercer has demonstrated exceptional expertise in luxury operations, revenue optimization, large-scale renovation transformations, and capital investment projects. Prior to her time as resort manager, she served as director of food and beverage at The Phoenician, where she successfully re-concepted multiple luxury dining venues amid extensive resort renovations, driving both ancillary revenue growth and operational excellence.
Deeply committed to the communities she serves, Mercer recently joined the Board of Directors for The Mobley Foundation. Her dedication to philanthropic leadership and civic enrichment mirrors the core values of The Ritz-Carlton and reinforces her holistic approach to hospitality, where care for the community is just as vital as care for the guest.
A true hospitality professional, Mercer’s career is heavily fueled by her passion for travel and food and beverage. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with her husband and dogs, and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
