Tom Wolf has been appointed as Managing Director at Carmel Valley Ranch - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
Carmel Valley Ranch, the 500-acre luxury resort nestled in the foothills of California’s Central Coast, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Wolf as its new Managing Director, bringing more than 40 years of hospitality leadership experience and a distinguished career with Hyatt to the role. Wolf joins Carmel Valley Ranch following an extensive tenure overseeing hotel operations, commercial strategy and teams across some of Hyatt’s largest and most recognized properties.
Wolf began his career with Hyatt as a reservations clerk and went on to hold leadership positions at properties across the U.S. and Caribbean, including six general manager roles. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Hyatt Regency Seattle and Hyatt Olive 8, following three years as Managing Director of A Seattle Collection by Hyatt, where he oversaw operations across three Hyatt properties. Previously, as general manager of Hyatt Regency Seattle, Wolf led the opening of the 1,260-room convention hotel and its first full year of operations.
His career also includes leadership roles at Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Hyatt Regency Bethesda, Hyatt Regency Aruba, Grand Hyatt Washington and Park Hyatt Washington, among others, giving him extensive experience across luxury, boutique, lifestyle, resort and convention properties.
Originally from Chicago, Wolf attended DePaul University, where he studied Business Management, and Michigan State University, where he studied Hotel/Restaurant Management. He has also held leadership and advisory roles with several hospitality and civic organizations, including Visit Seattle, the Seattle Hotel Association, the Downtown Seattle Association and the Seattle Sports Commission.
In his new role, Wolf will oversee operations and commercial strategy at Carmel Valley Ranch, bringing his extensive leadership experience to the property as The Ranch continues to enhance its offerings and guest experience.
