Asif Syed has been appointed as Director of Culinary at Signia Hilton Naples Grande Beach Resort
Signia Hilton Naples Grande Beach Resort, a beachfront destination on Florida’s Paradise Coast known for its elevated resort experience, announced that Asif Syed, an award-winning culinary leader whose career spans leading resorts and restaurants across Southwest Florida, has joined the resort as Director of Culinary. Bringing more than two decades of hospitality experience to the role, Syed will oversee the resort’s culinary program as Signia Hilton Naples Grande Beach Resort enters a new chapter ahead of its reopening post-renovation.
Syed is an acclaimed Florida chef, restaurateur and culinary personality best known for his work as the chef and owner of 21 Spices in Naples, where he developed a reputation for creative and globally inspired cuisine. His career has also taken him to national television, including appearances on the Food Network, where he defeated Bobby Flay on Beat Bobby Flay and showcased his distinctive gastronomic style to audiences beyond Florida.
An accomplished culinary executive, entrepreneur and hospitality leader, Syed previously served in leadership roles at acclaimed Florida resorts, including JW Marriott Marco Island and Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa. Most recently, he was Executive Chef at Karma & Kismet Modern Indian Restaurant in Singer Island, Fla. As owner and chef at 21 Spices in Naples for 10 years, he brought modern Indian cuisine to Naples’ fine-dining scene. His distinguished career includes engagements at the James Beard Foundation and the Vice President’s personal residence, along with two visits to the White House as an invited guest.
Signia Hilton Naples Grande Beach Resort’s ongoing transformation is expected to be completed ahead of its late-2026 reopening, marking a new era for the beachfront resort.
