Lisette Acosta Álvarez has been appointed as Director, Latin America & the Caribbean at Majestic Hospitality
Officials of Majestic Hospitality, a full-service property consulting firm providing turn-key development services to the hotel industry, today appointed Lisette Acosta Álvarez director, Latin America & the Caribbean. Additionally, Majestic announced that it has formed an affiliate partnership with LaCosta Advisors, a Latin American/Caribbean hotel investment advisory group, marking the company’s second overseas office.
As director, Álvarez will oversee Majestic’s further expansion into the region, as well as provide oversight for the company’s existing business interests and relationships there. She succeeds Andrew Cohan in the role as he enters retirement.
Álvarez most recently served as founder and managing director of LaCosta Advisors. The firm works with investors, owners and developers to identify opportunity, define strategy and move real estate and hospitality projects forward — combining international perspective with on-the-ground intelligence. Previously, she served as commercial manager at Juan Santamaría International Airport and sat on the board of the Papagayo Gulf Tourism Project. She also has guided dozens of hotel projects through feasibility, permits and risk. A member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), Álvarez received her Global MBA from INCAE and completed Cornell University’s hotel real estate investment training program.
