Mark Foxwell has been appointed as General Manager at WALDORF ASTORIA Tokyo Nihonbashi
Hilton has announced the appointment of Mark Foxwell as General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi, as it strengthens its leadership across Asia Pacific to support the continued growth of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio.
Foxwell has built his career across some of Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotels for three decades, developing a leadership style shaped by both operational excellence and a deep understanding of guest experience. His journey has taken him across Japan, Greater China, Southeast Asia, Australia and the United States. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Hyatt Regency Osaka and Park Hyatt Tokyo, while also supporting multiple hotel openings and regional initiatives from Hyatt’s corporate office in Japan.
Foxwell returns to Japan to lead the opening of Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi, set within one of Tokyo’s most historic districts. Drawing on his extensive experience in luxury operations, pre-openings and leadership development, he will shape a hotel that reflects both the legacy of the Waldorf Astoria brand and the distinctive character of Tokyo.
