John Calcao has been appointed as VP of Global Sales at Avalora
Global hospitality technology company Avalora has tapped John Calcao as Vice President of Global Sales to lead its worldwide sales efforts and international expansion, strengthening the company’s dedication to Powering the Connected Hotel™.
In this expanded role, Calcao will lead the development of a scalable worldwide sales team, drive revenue growth, expand Avalora’s ecosystem partnerships and strengthen strategic relationships with hotel brands.
Calcao brings more than 25 years of sales experience in communications technology. Before joining Avalora, he held roles at AudioCodes, a global vendor of advanced communications software, products and AI-powered solutions. During his time there, he rose through the ranks to Vice President of Sales, where he led a cross-functional sales team, grew sales by 433%, developed go-to-market strategies and led key strategic alliances.
As a first-generation American, Calcao is fluent in Portuguese and resides on the East Coast of the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Upsala College.
