Jay Sarkar has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Trailborn
Trailborn Hotels & Resorts, The Official Hotel of the Great Outdoors™, today announced the appointment of seasoned hospitality finance executive Jay Sarkar as Chief Financial Officer. Sarkar joins Trailborn at a pivotal stage in the brand’s growth, as it continues to scale its portfolio across sought-after outdoor destinations and strengthen its leadership team to support its next chapter.
In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Sarkar will lead Trailborn’s financial functions, working alongside the executive team to drive financial performance and inform strategic decision-making.
Sarkar brings more than 30 years of hospitality finance experience to Trailborn. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Meyer Jabara Hotels for four years, following eight years as Chief Financial Officer of Stepstone Hospitality. Earlier in his career, Sarkar spent 12 years with Pyramid Hotel Group, where he served as Regional Controller for a portfolio of full-service hotels and supported the financial evaluation and transition of new acquisitions.
Sarkar began his hospitality career with Tollman Hundley Hotels before spending four years with Starwood Hotels in New York City, working across the W and Sheraton brands.
Sarkar’s appointment comes as Trailborn builds on a milestone year for the company, marked by new property openings including Trailborn Jackson Hole in Jackson, Wyoming, the brand’s first all-season resort and ski mountain destination with ski-in/ski-out access, and Hill House at Trailborn Mendocino, the brand’s first West Coast property in Mendocino, California. Trailborn will complete its Mendocino coastal destination with the opening of The Mendocino Hotel at Trailborn Mendocino in summer 2027, with further additions to its growing portfolio on the horizon.
