The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami announces the appointment of luxury hospitality executive Fabien Gnemmi as General Manager. Gnemmi joins at a pivotal time as the oceanfront resort prepares to unveil its most significant transformation since joining The Ritz-Carlton brand in 2014, set to reopen on February 1, 2027.
Set at the northern tip of Miami’s most storied beach, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Intracoastal Waterway, the intimate, 113-room all-waterfront resort will reopen with reimagined suites and guestrooms, refreshed common spaces and poolside experiences, and an entirely new culinary collection featuring a signature chef-led restaurant, luminous lobby bar and casual waterfront dining. The transformation will also introduce The Ritz-Carlton Spa, a refined sanctuary for deep renewal and restorative wellness, alongside its first, exclusive private membership. A Maître Cuisinier de France, Fabien Gnemmi is renowned for his deep food and beverage expertise and transformative leadership within the St. Regis brand. With more than 25 years of culinary-driven operational excellence, Fabien has built a reputation for elevating every aspect of the luxury guest experience through exceptional dining, flawless execution, and uncompromising standards.
Most recently, Fabien served as Hotel Manager and Acting General Manager of The St. Regis Bal Harbour, one of Marriott’s flagship Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond resorts. Here, he led resort operations and drove the most improved guest satisfaction scores in the U.S. Eastern region in both 2024 and 2025, fueled by enhancements to culinary quality, bar programming, banquet execution, and the overall dining experience.
Prior to St. Regis, Fabien spent two decades with The Ritz-Carlton, where he led complex food and beverage operations up to $51M, launched new restaurant concepts, built culinary festivals, and guided teams to Forbes, AAA, and Marriott “Hotel of the Year” achievements.
