Michelle Davies has been appointed as General Manager, Pacific & New Emerging ESAP Markets at Club Med
Club Med, the pioneer of premium all-inclusive holidays for over 75 years, has appointed Michelle Davies as General Manager of Club Med Singapore and Malaysia. In the role, she will lead Club Med’s Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, bringing together Singapore, Malaysia and Emerging Markets in South Asia, and succeeds Olivier Monceau.
With more than 15 years of experience across the hospitality and travel industry, Davies has spent the past six years at the helm of Club Med’s Pacific market, guiding the business through its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and helping it become one of Club Med’s top five markets globally. Under her leadership, the Pacific team delivered record-breaking performance, particularly across the brand’s ski portfolio, driven by a strong focus on growing both direct and travel agent channels. The team was also named Most Popular Accommodation Group at the National Travel Industry Awards for three consecutive years. In 2025, Davies expanded her remit to include Club Med’s new emerging SEAP markets.
Having built her career across the United Kingdom and Australia, Davies brings an international perspective and a track record of leading diverse, multicultural teams to two of Club Med’s most dynamic markets in Asia. Her focus will be on strengthening Club Med’s position as the preferred premium all-inclusive brand for families and couples in Singapore and Malaysia, and on growing both direct and travel agent channels, bringing best practice from the Pacific and emerging markets to the region.
Davies hands over the Pacific to Marc Letourneau, who succeeds her as General Manager of Club Med Pacific, and the two will continue to collaborate closely on Club Med’s travel trade approach across their respective markets. In her expanded role, she will also work alongside Rachael Harding, CEO of Club Med SEAP, and Sebastian Favre, VP DCP SEAP, to drive Club Med’s growth across the region.
Olivier Monceau has led Club Med Singapore and Malaysia since 2022. During his tenure, he consolidated the business’s strategy across both markets and diversified Club Med’s resort offering in Malaysia, laying the groundwork for Club Med Borneo, which has achieved strong commercial success ahead of its opening this month, and setting in motion the complete revamp of Club Med Cherating. He also built on the success of Club Med’s Japan snow resorts among Singaporean and Malaysian travellers and led the revamp of the brand’s entire sun portfolio, consolidating the offering and kickstarting its new lifestyle positioning.
