Dr Alexander Thaler has been appointed as Medical Director at Lanserhof Marbella
Ahead of the opening of Lanserhof Marbella in mid-2027, the Lanserhof Group has announced the appointment of Dr Alexander Thaler as Medical Director of its new health resort on the Costa del Sol. Dr Thaler took up the role in July 2026 and will oversee all medical services.
Dr Thaler brings extensive experience in preventative and longevity medicine to Lanserhof Marbella. An Austrian general practitioner with expertise in F.X. Mayr medicine, he most recently served as Medical Director of the Mayrlife Day Clinic in Vienna. He previously worked at the Health Resort Altaussee.
His approach combines conventional medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), orthomolecular medicine and mind-body practices, including breathwork and guided meditation. Having lived and worked in Spain for more than 12 years, Dr Thaler has also developed an integrative approach he calls Spirito-Psycho-Somatist Medicine, bringing together preventative medicine, F.X. Mayr medicine and systemic approaches.
