Hotel Viking, the 1926 landmark at One Bellevue Avenue that reopened in May 2026 following a complete reimagination timed to its 100th anniversary, today announced the appointment of David Mariotti as general manager. He brings more than 30 years of experience leading independent and branded resorts, lifestyle hotels and private clubs, with particular expertise in owner relations, team development and guiding properties through periods of transition.

In his role, Mariotti oversees all aspects of hotel operations, with a focus on elevating the guest experience, cultivating a strong team culture and further establishing Hotel Viking as a gathering place in for travelers and locals alike. He leads the property’s day-to-day management across its guestrooms and suites, four culinary concepts in partnership with Littleneck Hospitality Group, including Pescadou, Skoal Room, Cap Club and Tuck Shop, as well as Spa Fjör, the historic 1859 Kay Chapel and more than 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Most recently, Mariotti provided operational leadership through management transitions at The Alexander, an Autograph Collection hotel in Indianapolis; Bakers Cay Resort, a Curio Collection property in Key Largo, Fla.; and Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Ga. Previously, he spent nearly a decade with Remington Hospitality, rising from general manager to vice president of operations, where he oversaw a portfolio of 12 boutique and lifestyle hotels and resorts in markets including Santa Fe, Sedona, Chicago and Washington, D.C. He also guided management takeovers and leadership transitions at properties including Cameo in Beverly Hills and Kimpton Mas Olas Resort in El Pescadero, Mexico, working closely with ownership to guide operational performance and organizational change.

Prior to that, Mariotti served as general manager of One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach, Fla., Remington’s AAA Four Diamond oceanfront flagship, where he spearheaded more than $1 million in property improvements across the lobby, dining room, lounge, meeting rooms and spa. He began his career at Ponte Vedra Beach Resorts, where he spent more than two decades and ultimately led the combined operations of Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and The Lodge & Club as general manager, overseeing two oceanfront resorts and private clubs.

Throughout his career, Mariotti has been recognized for his leadership and operational achievements. He was named Remington Hospitality's General Manager of the Year in 2021, earned a place in the company's Presidents Club from 2018 to 2024 and was included in Hotel Management magazine's 40 Over 40 list in 2023.
